Elder Abuse Litigation • Long Beach, CA
For over 20 years, Robert Partain has fought exclusively for injured plaintiffs. When a skilled nursing facility or caregiver breaks their duty of care, we hold them fully accountable.
About the Firm
Robert Partain focuses his practice on representing vulnerable elderly and dependent adults, and their families, when they have suffered from neglect and abuse at the hands of those who were entrusted to protect them, such as skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.
Mr. Partain graduated cum laude from the University of California Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) in 2002. While in law school, he served as the executive articles editor for the Hastings Law Review, a member of the Thurston Honor Society, and a law clerk for Dean Mary Kay Kane.
After briefly working at a corporate defense firm, Mr. Partain began representing injured plaintiffs in 2004 and has done so exclusively for the past 20 years. He has extensive experience in products liability, catastrophic injury, and defective pharmaceuticals. Since 2019, nearly all of his cases have involved the neglect and abuse of elderly and dependent adults.
Mr. Partain is licensed in California and Nevada, and has been admitted in multiple federal jurisdictions including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and numerous district courts throughout the country. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, Consumer Attorneys of California, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association. He has tried cases throughout California and the United States, and has several publications regarding the neglect and abuse of the elderly.
When he is not working, Mr. Partain enjoys golf, spending time with his son Nathan, and a dinner out in his adopted hometown of Long Beach.
